Good Karma through networking?

Posted by Administrator Jan 25, 2008 12:10:51 AM

You've got that great idea. You no longer will be working for "the man" (I've always wondered who that is.) You're ready to blaze your own path. You're an entrepreneur....Face it, you need help. You need advice, support and maybe funding. You need a network.

Running around to every event in town sound appealing? Maybe not, and it might not be the best way to build the foundation for your venture's success.

Recently I read an article written by Kent Lewis, CEO of Anvil Media, about his referral-based networking strategy. I feel it provides entrepreneurs developing their businesses good insights and a doable approach for anyone (even if you're a shy person) to build a network that can provide amazing support.

For entrepreneurs, meeting the right group of people who can serve as advisers and can lend their connections is often invaluable to the development of their businesses. If you follow Kent's suggestions you may not only gain great business connections that can help your venture grow, you'll also get an opportunity to help others and make some serious investment in the karma bank and that is always a worthwhile thing.

Check out some upcoming networking opportunities at OEN events and other community events of interest.
